PDF Upload Size Limit
When uploading PDFs into TaxPlanIQ, the maximum file size allowed is 256 KB.
If your PDF is larger than this limit, you’ll see an error message.
How to Reduce a PDF’s File Size
Most users can quickly shrink their PDF using tools they already have, or by using free online options.
1. Using Adobe Acrobat Pro (Paid Version)
If you have a paid Adobe Acrobat license:
- Open your PDF in Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Go to File → Save As Other → Reduced Size PDF.
- Save the compressed file and upload it to TaxPlanIQ.
2. Using Mac Preview (Mac Users)
If you’re on a Mac:
- Open the PDF in Preview.
- Go to File → Export.
- In the pop-up window, select Quartz Filter → Reduce File Size.
- Save and re-upload the reduced file.
3. Free Online Tools (Quick and Easy)
If you don’t have Adobe Acrobat Pro:
- Go to Adobe’s Free PDF Compressor.
- Upload your PDF.
- Download the reduced version and upload it to TaxPlanIQ.
Other reputable PDF compressors are available, but we recommend Adobe’s free tool for security and simplicity.
