SUBJECT: We should look for some Tax Deductions before the end of the Year!
Hi FIRST NAME,
I know it's the holiday season, and you are probably focused on shopping and holiday activities..
Taxes are probably the furthest thing from your mind right now… that’s why I normally don’t reach out to you about them until March or April.
THE CLOCK IS TICKING TO MAKE CHANGES FOR 2023!
Unfortunately, even though you might not want to be thinking about your taxes, this is one of the most important times of year to find some time to chat.
We've got less than (X WEEKS) left of this year, and in that time, we might want to identify some places for us to make some changes in order to ensure that we pay the least amount of taxes possible.
I’d hate for you to be kicking yourself come April with a huge tax payment due.
I figured I'd reach out and see if you want to hop on the phone for a quick chat about what your options are to limit your tax liability for this year.
I created a short list of questions that you can answer that will give me a better idea of the potential conversation topics and how urgent it is for us to talk. Feel free to just reply to this email with your answers below, and I can do a quick once over to determine if we need to talk:
- Please list the age, occupation (or if full time or part time student), and relationship of those you support financially.
- How much cash flow do you have available for retirement or other tax savings strategies this year? Would that change over the next five years or so?
- Describe your healthcare coverage. For example...Is it a PPO or high deductible plan through my employer, the marketplace, or a Christian sharing network, Medicare supplement, long term care, et al. How much would you estimate you spend per year on out of pocket medical costs?
- Do you expect any significant (tens of thousands) changes to your income or deductions this year compared to last? Please explain
- Have you set any charitable goals, such as giving X amount per year? Please provide detail.
Hope you are having a wonderful Holiday Season!
Thanks,
YOUR NAME
